Serial entrepreneur Mal Paterson has had food businesses all her life, founding her first one at 23 while living in South Africa. Today, she’s the proud owner of Seedz Crackers a company in British Columbia that makes crackers from certified organic sesame, sunflower, pumpkin and flax seeds that are today sold by approximately 120 Canadian retailers and online.

Her many business ventures have taught her some valuable lessons, which she shares in this profile prepared by Bioenterprise Canada industry partner Small Scale Food Processors Association.
