Mentorship for innovative companies in Alberta
Alberta Yield is for founders or leaders of Alberta-based and innovation-driven agricultural technology or agri-food ventures seeking to establish a product or service, grow the business, and/or access investment, and increase networks.
Funding for Ontario-based alternative fertilizer solutions
The Fertilizer Accelerating Solutions & Technology Challenge invites Ontario-based organizations with products and solutions in the alternative fertilizer space to lead commercialization projects.
Funding for Ontario food & beverage processors
The Foodshift program invites organizations based in Ontario operating in the food and beverage processing sector to lead clean technology adoption projects.
Funding for start-up businesses in Nova Scotia
The goal of GreenShoots is to find and support high potential, early-stage knowledge-based Nova Scotia companies, and encourage entrepreneurial activity in the province.
Funding for SME’s in Northern Ontario
The Northern Food Security Challenge is an agri-food innovation challenge where eligible Northern Ontario businesses are invited to submit an application focused on their innovative solutions, processes or methods used to improve food security in Northern communities.

The Ontario Agri-Food Research Initiative (OAFRI) Commercialization Stream invites Ontario-based organizations in agriculture, agri-food and agri-based products sectors to lead market validation and product development projects.
Funding for SME’s in Southern Ontario
The SmartGrowth Program provides SMEs in southern Ontario’s food and agri-technology sectors access to acceleration financing to support scale-up and expansion projects.
Mentorship for innovative agtech companies in Quebec
This program is the first acceleration program 100% dedicated to the commercialization of innovative agricultural technologies in Quebec. Entrepreneurs will benefit from various forms of support, including access to resources to commercialize their technology.
National Sustainability and Innovation Challenge
Dairy Farmers of Canada and Bioenterprise have partnered to host a $50,000 National Sustainability and Innovation Challenge – a business pitch competition focused on sustainability in the agriculture and food industry.
