Lenore Newman and her team are passionate advocates for vertical farming. She’s the director of the Food and Agriculture Institute at University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) in British Columbia and believes that BC should be able to grow all the fruits and vegetables it needs locally instead of having to rely on expensive imports that have limited shelf-life once they finally reach BC.

UFV is a Bioenterprise Canada Knowledge & Development partner, and Newman is a member of the Bioenterprise Canada Science and Innovation Advisory Committee.
