The University of Guelph’s Plant Agriculture Department has a world-renowned reputation for research and innovation. With weeds becoming an increasingly common problem across all crops – from herbicide resistance to new invasive species – there is no shortage ofweed challenges to address.

Female researchers in the department are working on some of the most innovative solutions to weed control, from genomics to nanotechnology.
