Research and innovation are helping to drive adoption of sustainable practices on farms across Canada. This includes the 4R Principles – applying the right type of fertilizer to the right place in the right amount at the right time – which are key to helping reduce greenhouse gas emissions from crop production.
In August 2023, Bioenterprise Canada collaborator EMILI (Enterprise Machine Intelligence Learning Initiative) welcomed over 130 attendees to its 5,500 acre Innovation Farms site to observe a series of live field demonstrations showcasing how these principles can be incorporated on the farm.
