Canada’s Agricultural Clean Technology Accelerator
A collaborative national initiative to accelerate the development, validation, and adoption of innovative clean technologies in Canada’s agriculture and agri-food sector to reduce emissions, improve sustainability, and strengthen long-term competitiveness.
Coordinated national support for innovation
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) has selected six organizations across Canada as initial recipients under its Agricultural Clean Technology Program – Research and Innovation Accelerator initiative (ACT Accelerator) to deliver specialized programming that supports innovators developing clean technologies for the agriculture sector.
Together, these organizations provide complementary infrastructure, expertise, mentorship, funding, validation environments, and investor connections to help Canadian clean agri-tech companies grow and scale to succeed.
This national ecosystem is designed to reduce duplication, encourage knowledge-sharing, and help innovators across regions and technology domains access the most appropriate support for their stage of growth and area of focus.
ACT Accelerator initial recipients approved by AAFC
Each initial recipient delivers programming aligned with the objectives of AAFC’s ACT Accelerator while offering distinct expertise, networks, and support mechanisms. Together, they contribute to a stronger national clean technology ecosystem by helping innovators access specialized resources, mentorship, funding pathways, validation environments, and market opportunities.
