Thora Cartlidge

Regional Manager, Northern Ontario

Thora is a professional planner with 20 years’ hands-on experience in sustainable community development and natural resource management in rural Minnesota and Northern Ontario. Skilled in applied research, public policy analysis and sustainable development principles, she has a track record of leading successful public infrastructure development with community economic benefits. Her knowledge of current and emerging agricultural technologies combined with a broad network of motivated entrepreneurs and potential partners positions her well to help food and agri-business interests in northern Ontario advance their ideas and products.

Her career encompasses land use planning and project management with the University of Minnesota, City of Thunder Bay and, most recently, Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry and Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.

Thora holds a Master of Landscape Architecture from University of Minnesota with specialization in regional planning and sustainable design. Credentials include Registered Professional Planner (RPP) in Canada, Member, American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP), and Accredited Professional, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).
