The Grow Ontario Accelerator Hub (GOAH) offers robust support to innovative Ontario-based agri-food and agri-tech companies.

With tailored mentoring and business resources, GOAH helps propel innovative solutions to market, enhancing competitiveness and opportunities in the agri-food sector. This will be facilitated by providing mentoring and advisory services in agri-food business acceleration, growth planning and investment readiness, as well as to provide supports to businesses across the agri-food supply chain with respect to adoption of innovation.

GOAH supports the province’s Grow Ontario strategy which aims to increase the creation and adoption of innovations for the agri-food sector to enhance competitiveness, grow market opportunities and strengthen the sector against future disruptions.

What is the Grow Ontario Accelerator Hub (GOAH)?

GOAH is an initiative led by Bioenterprise Canada and funded by the Governments of Canada and Ontario through the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership (Sustainable CAP). It provides mentorship, business advisory services, and resources to help Ontario-based agri-food and agri-tech & agri-food companies grow and bring their innovations to market.

Who is GOAH for?

GOAH is designed for Ontario-based for-profit small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the agriculture, agri-food, and agri-based products sectors, including technology and equipment suppliers. Eligible businesses must have fewer than 50 employees and be working on innovative solutions at or beyond Technology Readiness Level 3 (TRL-3+)

What is the application deadline?

GOAH has open calls for applications on an annual basis. The current call for applications closes on March 10, 2025, 11:59pm. Check our website or follow us on social media for the latest application timelines

Who can apply for the program?

To be eligible for GOAH, your business must:

  • Be a for-profit SME incorporated in Canada
  • Have fewer than 50 employees
  • Be located and operating in Ontario
  • Have a technology at or beyond TRL-3
  • Operate in the agriculture, agri-food, or agri-based products sectors
  • Address at least one of OMAFRA’s key priority areas, such as food safety, soil health, plant health, or sustainable production

What services does GOAH provide?

GOAH offers the following advisory and mentorship services:

How much mentorship and advisory support will I receive?

Selected companies will receive up to 25 hours of one-on-one mentorship and advisory support from industry experts tailored to their business needs.

Will I get funding or financial support through GOAH?

GOAH does not provide direct funding or grants. However, we help businesses become investment-ready and connect them with potential investors and funding opportunities.

Is the mentorship in-person or virtual?

All mentorship and advisory services are delivered virtually for maximum flexibility, allowing participants to engage from anywhere in Ontario

Will I retain ownership of my Intellectual Property (IP)?

Yes! GOAH and Bioenterprise Canada make no claims to any intellectual property resulting from your participation in the program. You retain full ownership of your innovations.
