Bioenterprise Canada is hiring a Human Resources Lead (part-time position)!

Our rapidly expanding not-for-profit firm is currently searching for a part-time Human Resources Lead to join our team. In this position, the successful candidate will be oversee the update and maintenance of Bioenterprise internal policies and procedures, benefits packages, recruiting and subsequent onboarding procedures, salary structuring, employee education and liaising with third-party contractors of HR services. The Human Resources Lead will oversee all aspects of Human Resources for the company both internal and external. In addition, the Human Resources Lead will be responsible for reporting requirements to the CEO, the Senior Management Team and for liaising with those organizations in a highly pro-active manner. If you have a strong background in human resources, and recruitment HR management, and excellent communications skills, we want to hear from you.


About you:

You’ve been working in HR for 5+ years and have experience in dealing with the nuances of each province. You are working on or have obtained your CHRP/CHRL designation. Your Mission:

Your mission is to help build, retain, and develop Bioenterprise’s team. As Bioenterprise grows, you will be responsible for helping ensure that we maintain this culture, all while developing a scalable infrastructure for recruitment, compensation, development, and communications.

Your mission is to establish scalable HR practices across Bioenterprise. You will accomplish your mission by developing relationships across the organization to ensure that you have a window on potential opportunities or areas for focus. You will conduct regular pulse checks and be data-driven in your approach to your activities. You will be supported by third-party recruitment, compensation, or Proprietary & Confidential other HR specialists in strategic areas of focus.



In the first 12 months you will focus on the following:

  • Recruiting – Develop a top-notch, efficient, and effective recruiting, and onboarding process with an eye to rapid growth.
  • Ensure that everyone understands and adheres to the performance review process
  • Provide continuity to our third-party HR related consultants
  • Compensation & Benefits – Develop existing compensation & benefits structure, implementing a harmonized approach across the organization
  • Be responsible for updating and disseminating updates to Bioenterprise Policy and Procedures Manual, ensuring that it they are government compliant at all times.
  • Internal Communication – Ensure that Bioenterprise’s values are emphasized and maintained across the organization. Be the first point of contact for all personnel-related issues.


  • 5+ years of experience as an HR generalist
  • Experience, and comfort, in a high growth, fast paced environment (startup or growth stage company) is an asset
  • CHRP and/or CHRL designation is preferred
  • Knowledge of standard practices of HR administration including recruitment, compensation, benefits
  • Builds strong working relationships across an organization
  • Works collaboratively with business leaders to solve HR related issues, always considering the impact on the company and the overall business
  • Builds scalable HR programs that provide quality outcomes
  • Independent, can-do attitude; able to quickly assess an issue and move to implement a potential solution
  • Responsive to business needs, accountable and is open-minded and flexible in their approach to solving problems
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Strong communication skills, particularly written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources
