Linking Canadian Agriculture with Global Innovation
This full-day event is co-organized by Farm Radio International, University of Guelph’s Ontario Agricultural College and the International Fund for Agricultural Development. Leading international Canadian CSOs such as the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, members of the Food Security Policy Group and representatives from Canadian agricultural sector are expected to participate. The strong engagement of Canadian agricultural sector and CSOs is central to the event’s purpose, reflecting Canada’s commitment to inclusive, community-focused development and its deep and longstanding partnerships across the agricultural and food systems space, both domestically and abroad.
The event aims to convene policymakers, agricultural leaders, researchers, development partners, and farmer representatives from across Canada and internationally. Together, participants will explore forward-looking approaches to agricultural extension and advisory services—an area increasingly essential to climate resilience, food security, rural well-being, and Canada’s broader global engagement.
