What is the Farmer Innovation Advisory Group (FIAG)?
The FIAG is a platform for farmers across Canada to:
- Share insights – identify your farming challenges, suggest solutions that could make the biggest impact, and connect with other farm leaders across Canada.
- Collaborate with innovators – engage in conversations with inventors, startups, and researchers to co-develop solutions that will address your farm challenges.
- Test innovative solutions – pilot cutting-edge tools and technologies from Canadian innovators, tailored to your unique needs.

We are seeking farmers from all provinces and territories, and all types of farming operations including:
- Grains and oilseeds (e.g., canola, wheat, corn, soybeans)
- Livestock (e.g., cattle, poultry, pigs, sheep)
- Greenhouses and horticulture (e.g., tomatoes, lettuce, herbs, flowers, nursery products)
- Fruit and vegetable farming (e.g., apples, berries, grapes, root vegetables)
- Specialty crops (e.g., hemp, fibre, biofuel, natural products)
- Farm advisors (farm management consultants, agronomists)
- Agri-tech enthusiasts (new farm management technologies e.g., precision agriculture, AI and robotics, data-driven solutions)
