As an Analyst in Agriculture and Regulatory Affairs, Rattan Gill provides guidance and support to entrepreneurs through strategic relationship development, market research, and regulatory assistance. Rattan is also actively engaged in resource development activities for entrepreneurs, and acts as a liaison with external organizations in the agriculture sector.
Rattan has several years of project management and research experience in agriculture across Asia and North America. Along with her background in agronomical and horticultural crop production and genetics, she has experience in plant disease diagnostics, research dissemination, and stakeholder engagement. Rattan was actively involved in knowledge translation and transfer activities in India during her undergraduate career. She has a keen interest in agricultural and science policy development.
Prior to joining the Bioenterprise team, Rattan worked as a Research and Teaching Assistant at Department of Plant Agriculture, University of Guelph, where she conducted research on fruit pathology and genetics. During this time, Rattan served on various committees representing student interests and working as a liaison between students and university administration.
Rattan graduated with an M.Sc. in Plant Genetics, specializing in Plant Pathology, from the University of Georgia, United States. She also has a B.Sc. (Honours) in Agriculture from Punjab Agricultural University, India. Rattan loves reading and is fluent in English, Hindi, and Punjabi.
