Jessica Bowes is the Manager of Bioenterprise’s national Business & Technology Analyst Team and has a keen interest in fostering innovation and commercialization within the agri-technology sector. She is particularly interested in leadership strategies, program administration and delivery, and training of Highly Qualified Personnel (HQP). Jessica works with the Senior Management Team to adapt client services and operations to support the evolving ag-based commercialization ecosystem, and administer Bioenterprise programming across Canada. She works with the technical and support staff to deliver business advisory services, create and maintain strategic and collaborative stakeholder relationships, and report on the impact of Bioenterprise programming.
Previously, Jessica held the position of Senior Business Analyst focused on food, nutrition and health and was primarily responsible for providing guidance to entrepreneurs, conducting technical assessments, and engaging in network development activities within the food, beverage and related processing sectors.
Prior to joining Bioenterprise, Jessica held positions focused on development and delivery of knowledge mobilization strategies, communications, and training of HQP in agriculture, food and health sectors with organizations such as the Schlegel-UW Research Institute for Aging and MaRS Landing.
Jessica has a M.Sc. in Human Health and Nutritional Sciences and a B.Sc. in Biological Sciences, both from the University of Guelph. She is also certified in Knowledge Translation and Transfer through a research-oriented program administered by the University of Toronto and SickKids.
