Samantha Hart, Analyst, Food & Food Systems

Sam Hart_2017As an Analyst in Food & Food Systems, Samantha Hart is responsible for providing guidance and mentorship to clients with innovations in the agri-food, functional food, and human health sectors. This is accomplished through a variety of business advisory services and projects including: market research and competitive analysis, public funding opportunity identification, and strategic relationship development. Samantha is also responsible for business development activities in the food processing, natural health product and self-care product sub-sectors.

Samantha’s previous experience in both food and pharmaceutical quality control and assurance has allowed her to develop a thorough understanding of the processing and manufacturing regulations involved in order to develop a market-ready product. Prior to working with Bioenterprise, Samantha worked in lipid research for the Department of Food Science at the University of Guelph, where she conducted research on the physical state of emulsified lipids and how it impacted in-vitro digestive lipolysis and bioaccessibility of encapsulated lipid soluble particles.

Samantha has a M.Sc. in Human Health and Nutritional Sciences and a B.Sc. in Biological and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, both from the University of Guelph.
