Bioenterprise Corporation seeks a Project Coordinator, AgRegKit (Contract)

The primary objective of the Project Coordinator will be to support the development of the AgRegKit through to launch. Key responsibilities of the Project Coordinator role are outlined below.

This position is located in our Guelph Office Headquarters

AgRegKit Key Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate activities, resources, and information related to the project, in particular for the launch of AgRegKit (e.g. internal/external beta testing)
  • Liaise with the VP of Technology, the developer staff, and other members of the Analyst Team to identify, refine, and implement project requirements and objectives
  • Make certain that government reporting needs are met as the project evolves
  • Monitor and track project’s progress and handle any issues that arise on both back-end and front-end development
  • Act as the point of contact and communicate project status adequately to all participants
  • Interact with VP, Technology regarding legal activities associated with AgRegKit
  • Work with Analyst team to conduct regulatory and policy research in the agriculture and agri-food sectors relevant AgRegKit
  • Support the creation of regulatory checklists, educational workbooks and other documents for the AgRegKit
  • Actively participate in meetings concerning AgRegKit administration, website development, and user accessibility
  • Assist in training other Bioenterprise and partner organization staff and external reviewers

Education Requirements, Skills, and Attributes

  • Completed an Undergraduate degree in agricultural, biological or related science
  • Strong interest in / understanding of regulatory affairs, public policy and government relations for the agriculture and agri-food sectors, including but not limited to agri-technology, food/beverage processing, and plant/animal sciences
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required; presentation skills and experience is an asset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in both team and individual settings
  • Effective time management skills
